This is a 'perde' meaning curtain from Malatya, Turkey. It was handwoven in the mid 20th century and it is in very good condition. These unique weavings were made by sewing together several flatweaves of 3-5 different colors for use as drapes, tent doors, bedspreads or for other applications where relatively large areas are to be decorated.
