For a contemporary look with abstract appeal, this black over-dyed area rug is skillfully crafted by the revitalization of a genuine hand knotted vintage Turkish rug woven in the 60s or 70s. Made from wool on cotton, this rug measures 5' 1" x 13' 9" (61" x 165"). The process in creating these works of art begins by shearing to lower the pile and to help "distress" them. They are then dyed in one color, a stage that can be repeated several times to reach the desired saturation level and hues that complement and contrast the old.

I highly recommend this company for the quality of their rugs and for their amazing customer service. I ordered a rug and in the process of it being shipped we were mandatorily evacuated because of hurricane Michael. I envisioned my beautiful rug sitting on our porch getting ruined while we were away. I emailed Kilim and requested they delay shipment and received an immediate response that they would deliver at a later date. We received the rug after the evacuation order ended and we had returned home. It is more beautiful than the pictures online.
