Woven with wool on wool foundation, this rug measures 3' 4" x 5' 2" (40" x 62"). The process in creating these works of art begins by shearing to lower the pile and to help "distress" them. They then undergo a series of processes to remove the color. They are then dyed in one color, a stage that can be repeated several times to reach the desired saturation level and hues.
