Woven with wool on wool foundation, this rug measures 2' 2" x 5' 6" (26" x 66"). The process in creating these works of art begins by shearing to lower the pile and to help "distress" them. They then undergo a series of processes to remove the color. They are then dyed in one color, a stage that can be repeated several times to reach the desired saturation level and hues. This magnificent transformation can be considered a piece of contemporary art, with a unique look that complements any modern décor.
