Alfombra vintage tulu tejida a mano en 1960 en Turquía y en excelentes condiciones. Tulu es básicamente un kilim o un tejido liso con mechones de lana o hilos de pelo de cabra entretejidos utilizando el nudo turco para formar patrones de mechones en el diseño subyacente. Tulu es la pronunciación en inglés de la palabra turca, "tüylü" que significa peluda. La técnica utilizada para tejer es muy similar a "gabbeh" en Irán, alfombras "Beni Ourain" de Marruecos y "ryijy" en Finlandia. Todos han sido producidos para fines funcionales en lugar de comercialmente y en regiones montañosas, por lo que todos tienen una gran cantidad de pelo para proteger del frío.
