Coloridas Alfombras de Retazos creadas a partir de fragmentos vintage de "chaput" turco. Los kilims vintage "pala" o "chaput", como se los llama en turco, son telas planas hechas a mano con telas recicladas hechas de algodón y pelo de cabra. Se tejieron en telares estrechos y los paneles se cosieron cuidadosamente después para formar dos alfombras reversibles, a veces tres aladas. El tejido de Chaput era una vieja tradición en Asia Menor (Turquía), nacida de la necesidad de reutilizar los textiles viejos, fusionando lo que estaba a mano en piezas decorativas únicas de la artesanía.

We recently ordered a rug from Kilim.com to replace one that we truly loved but that had become a tripping hazard after years of wear and tear. I ordered what I thought was the best match for a replacement. Shortly after placing my order, I got an email from Ida with additional photos of the rug I had selected, as she wanted to make sure that I was aware that the rug was a bit more green in undertone than had been reflected in the original photos. I told her what we were looking for and sent a couple of photos of the room where it was going and the rug we were looking to replace, and she sent a couple of other options they also had in similar sizes and colors.
