This is a 'perde' meaning curtain from Malatya, Turkey. It was handwoven in in 1940's and it is in very good condition. These unique weavings were made by sewing together several flatweaves of 3-5 different colors for use as drapes, tent doors, bedspreads or for other applications where relatively large areas are to be decorated. You may accent your room with this timeless flatweave as a sofa cover, bed cover, drapery as well as a rug on the floor in a low/medium traffic area, best with a rug pad for more grip and comfort.
